Sherrod Rice b. ca. 1804 - more below --- 02. Elijah Rice, born ca. 1787 in VA d. bef. 1860 in ? m. Sarah Riffe (ca. 1796 in VA -aft. 1860 in Carter Co., KY), d/o Gabriel Riffe and Elizabeth Munsey. Elijah and Sarah had at least 12 children. I have a lot more on them. My line is via Susan Rice, born ca. 1815 d. aft. 16 Aug 1861 in probably Greenup Co., KY. She married Ezekiel Van Bibber, born ca. 1814 in Kanawha Co., VA and died bef. 16 Aug 1861 in Greenup Co., KY. They married in Greenup Co., KY on 20 Dec 1833. She married second to David J. I have only researched as far back as William and Margaret Rice, but LDS records have this family back pretty far. I'm not sure of the accuracy beyond William Rice, born 1754, but if you go to http://www.familysearch.org and enter Charles Rice and Mary Holman you can travel back to the mid 1600's on the Rice line to a Thomas Rice.
