Thanks for the links everyone! Unfortunately I have been unable to find my ancestor on any of these sites. I noticed that John Rucker has a cd of Carter County cemeteries but I have been unable to contact him. Does anyone know if the Historical society may have done a survey of all the cemeteries? I guess I should write to them and find out. I am looking for the grave of my great great grandmother. She died in 1890. She was only 19 when she died and I am having a terrible time finding any information on her. I would like to put up a marker for her if I could discover where she is buried. I have found the graves of her father and grandfather but have found nothing on her. Does anyone know if there was a newspaper published in the late 1800's in Carter County?
