Ok, I'm doing it. I am catching up on all the updates that have been sitting around waiting for me.... funny how they do that ..LOL. Anyway, I have updated the Reunions page (If you know of any Carter Co-related reunions that you'd like to see posted, please give me a shout.) I've added directions to a few new cemeteries & am working on a couple of cemeteries that have been submitted recently. Whoever sent me the data on the Arms Cemetery, please let me know - I lost the original email (still have the scan of the list though) and I want to give the submitter proper credit. Also, I am always looking for more volunteers to index some more of these cemeteries, so go ahead & jump right in... Sherry has finished households #51-100 of the 1950 census & they're gonna be up very soon. I have some abstracts from the 1900 & 1910 census that I'm going to be adding soon. I've already added some from 1920. If you have any census info, I'd love to have it to add too. It looks like the Photo Album is on temporary hiatus; I just sent Brian an email, so should have some word soon. Brian, you out there? In the meantime, if you want to see pics added, you can send them to me & I'll try to follow Brian's excellent lead. I also added a button to the front page that brings up a .pdf document for subscribing to the Grayson or Olive Hill newspaper. I have a bunch more old newspaper articles from Sherry (thanks a million, Sherry, don't know where we'd be without you) Lowe. Those should be up fairly soon. I also plan to add a list of Carter Co newspaper microfilm available from UK to the newspaper site so that people can order it directly from them. I have a few vital records to add - I am trying to develop a common format for submitting these records (i.e., abstracting death certificates, birth certificates, marriage licenses, etc) & would welcome any suggestions. Additionally, I have a list of Carter Co-related microfilms available from Frankfort that I am currently transcribing. That should be up early next week (After tax day, that is <VBG>) In the archives, I've linked a LOT of past Elliott Co News articles that pertain to area deaths of Carter Co people. My eventual goal is to get most of the records on the main site also added to the Archive site. As always, I welcome any and all comments & suggestions on how to improve the site both aesthetically & content-wise. I am also always open to any kind of data submissions. If anyone wants to submit their GEDCOMS, go ahead & I'll get a site set up for them (some kind of FTP server or something). That's about it for now. If you have any questions/comments/suggestions, feel free to holler - I'm here, just a little slow sometimes.... Happy hunting, John Rucker Carter Co KYGenWeb coordinator
