I have just located the marriage bond for my granduncle, James Bradshaw(23) and Lucy Clark( no age given). Both were residing in Carter County, Kentucky at the time of the Bond. Clark H. Bradshaw, his brother served as surety for the bond. The marriage took place at George COLLEY's February 2 1883, and the witnesses were John Christian and George Colley. The service was performed by Jerry Collins. I am assuming this took place at a private residence. I have found people's names instead of churches in two other marriage bonds. I don't know if this indicates they weren't particularly religious, or if there wasn't a local church of their affiliation available. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
