According to Ancestry.com, I am told, is the following family: In the 1850 U.S. census for District No. 2, Carter County, Kentucky, Image 58 (no page number), line 20, dwelling 365, family 365 is John McGuire, age 32, male, farmer, b. in Ohio. With him is his wife, Eliza McGuire, age 28 and their 5 children: Emily McGuire, age 10; James McGuire, age 8; Stephen McGuire; William McGuire, age 4; Thomas McGuire, age 1. Wife and children b. in KY. Also in this household is Jelina Rice, age 16 and Harvey Rice, age 12. It says Jelina and Harvey have attended school within the year, and that they were born in Kentucky.
