I believe, but cannot be sure, that Sarah was the daughter of Elijah and Elizabeth (Lansdown) Rice. The Rebecca Van Bibber residing with them was my great-grandmother, Rebecca (Van Bibber) Smith, daughter of Ezekiel and Susan (Rice) Van Bibber and wife of Benjamin Preston Smith.     3. I spoke with Mr. Wolfford about two years ago and he told me that he no longer had copies of the book to sell. He only have a few left and was leaving them for his grandchildren. I asked if he was going to have more copies made and he said "No." You are right, it is a nice book. In a message dated 5/2/2004 9:10:25 AM Eastern Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: I wrote to him a couple years ago and then sent a check and got the book right away. I liked it -- especially some of the history of Carter County. If you can't find his address, let me know and I'll look it up. At that time, it was about $26.

    3. Hello, I have a birth certificate for a Hannah Jordan who was born on Jan. 14, 1887. It states that her parents were John Jordan and Millie Irvin, and they were both 35 years old when Hannah was born, which would make their birth year abt. 1852. They were living in Wesleysville at the time of her birth. There is also an affidavit attached from her sister Marsha Jordan. Does anyone know who these people are? Uncle Ben and Nila settled in Mo and and had 9 kids, a couple of which have made it back to our annual reunion. If you still have questions after Sharon answers your questions, I can try to help.
