Portions of John Valentine MORGAN's family have been found in the area of this list. I have been unable to identify his father who I believe is John MORGAN and mother Mary. John V. was born in 1845 in VA or KY according to all the info I have found. It has been suggested that one of the following could be true: 1. Mary was a Valentine 2. Sounds like a good idea to me. --------- The year 2000 is a Census Year. Most of the census will be taken by mail. After you have filled out your census form why not make a copy of it and file with your important (genealogy) papers. Then your family will not have to wait 70 years to learn about you.

I have seen a book at the SE National Archives that shows what counties existed in each state for each census. You can also check into a lot of the census index books. Many of these will show the state and the counties for that census year. I have an AniMap program that will also show the counties for any given year. I haven't tried to save a copy of any map yet, but it might be possible.
