Have been researching the UNDERWOODs of Carter County since 1980. In doing so I've accumulated records on HAM/HAMM, RUCKER, SALYERS, WAKER, FULTZ, PERRY, JACOBS and many others who married UNDERWOODs or came into contact through the years, including some STAMPERs and HOLBROOKs who were murdering UNDERWOODs (and being murdered by them too in a feud). Currently I don't have too much time to get in a lengthy back-and-forth about these names because one of my publishers has asked me to put two of my UNDERWOOD books on a CD. So I'm spending most all of my computer-time on this project right now to get it done. If anyone is in Carter County, do you know where the Patton or Maddix cemeteries are located? They are listed on the Cemetery list, but no directions. I tried to find Patton last summer, but could not. Think it is near Olive Hill or Soldier. Also, need the name of the fairly large, well maintained cemetery to the right, just across the road, of an elementary school in Olive Hill. I visited there and saw my great-grandparents' graves, but neglected to get the name of the cemetery! Thanks.
