Haven't been there in about 5 years, but the courthouse had all kinds of books there, some stuff on line, but found what I wanted by going page by page. I was looking for mid 1800 things so they do have lots and were very nice. You might call ahead and see if they still allow it. Also, go over to MAdison. Never been to the courthouse but the library had quite a few files, and you can check on line for what is in Madison I think, Jefferson Co., in. Carroll had a copy machine right there, so you could copy then. Found wills, arriage licenses, and think tax records were off to one side, never got to those.
