An article from the News Democrat, Carrollton, describes the return of the body of "Riley Junior Sanders," which I think might be an error perhaps for "James Riley, Jr., of Sanders." It states his body was being returned from a temporary cemetery in Africa, where he was killed while serving in "Company H.," probably in 1943. He had been inducted July 2, 1942, trained at Camp Wolters, Texas. It also states he was born Jan 26, 1921, the son of Mr. & Mrs. James Riley, who survived him, and the was also survived by his wife, the former Ruth Ogden. He isn't on the Carroll County WWII memorial. Would like to know a little more about who he was, what unit he served in, and where he was buried.
