Will be visiting the Worthville area, would like to know how to get to the Mills/Hanks Cemetery. I know you have to walk up Buffalo Creek a ways, but would like to know who the current owner of the property is so we can get permission to walk up there. Would also like to know if there is an easier way to get to the cemetery. any help would be appreciated. Delores Godkin familyfinder1@cox.net

The Property Valuation Administrator at the courthouse keeps track of the current owners of properties in the county. He has maps with sections marked out on them, and each section is marked with a number that refers to records in filing cabinets there -- those give the names and mailing addresses of the current owner. Usually it will also have a reference to the most-recent deed, so that's where you would start tracing the title back if you ever had a mind to do that.
