Hi - At the risk of being 'off topic', starting a thread or even worse - being ignored ... Today, I received a photograph purported to be my gg-grandfather Robert Carroll King (bn 1817) and his family of Locust in Carroll Co. In the picture, the oldest person (RCKing ?) appears to be 45 or so. Hard to say considering their hard, rural life. The youngest girl (bn 1862) in the photo would have been 2 - 3 yrs which would date the picture in 1865. The photo is not from a photographer's studio, but along a roadside. Question - what might be the earliest that an itinerary photographer might have been hitting the country roads of this area of Kentucky? Thanks, Don
