Susanne, to my knowledge, I have no Hughes connection here. However, as we all know, our Ancestors were nomadic and went from County to County, State to State. With that being said, anything is possible - but not to my knowledge. My first Hughes are from McMinn County, TN. James Hughes, my g-g-g grandfather, whose daughter, Lucy Hughes, married John Murphy - them being my great-great grandparents. They were in the Eastern Counties of Kentucky in the 1800s and beyond.
