They hopped over the state/county line and married in Hamilton Co. Ohio, likely because it was expensive to marry in KY. Ann is the daughter of Thomas Jones Sr. (1780-1846) and Ann, both born in England. Thos and Ann had at least 10 children, and resided in Van Buren Co. Iowa. Another Thomas, of the same Jones family, married my Mary Stockham, born 1841, - a niece of William and Ann (Jones) Stockam - and they all lived in Kansas by 1860.
