Hello! I am looking for information on Lydia Pyle SIMPKINSON. She was born in Kentucky to Lemuel and Eliza (Willison) Pyle. I found that she lived at Clovis in the 1910 US Census. Her occupation was stenographer. In 1920, she was listed as the manager of the Simpkinson Hotel in Pasadena, California. She was also an investor and vice-president of the Dardanelles Mining Company located at Chloride, AZ. Her sister was Alice Crance who died in California. Her brother, Emery C. Pyle died in Tucson, AZ but lived in California. He was an attorney. Interestingly, Lydia's obituary appeared in a Curry County newspaper Jan 27, 1963 after her death on Jan 24, 1963 in California at the age of 91. Any information (other than census records) would be appreciated. My research is on the Dardanelles Mining Co. and the people who were involved with the mine. It is a part of a larger research project that spans 25 years. I appreciate your help and I'm willing to pay for copies. Thank you! Trish Coos Bay, Oregon "For I know the plans that I have for you.
