I know that my ancestor Jerdean WILSON was born Nov 1843 in Livingston Co, KY, married 19 Oct 1859 in Crittenden Co, KY to Gordon Given Hammond, and died 14 Dec 1920 in Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., IN, where Jerdean & Gordon relocated in 1912. In news item (Jerome), it states Jerdean Wilson Hammond was visited in Crittenden Co, KY, July 1896, by her sister Mrs. Jane Steele of Dayton (Campbell Co.), KY and "thirty years ago (ca 1866) Mrs. Steele was a resident of Marion."
