He first remembers that he was in Fort Smith Arkansas around the age of four. He stated to my mother that he traveled up the river (arkansas) to where he saw kids playing in a yard . He lived with them for a time this was around the age of 12. They would ride a ferry across to get supplies in Tamaha, Oklahoma, They new a man name Bob Porch that was a rich land owner there in Tamaha. They had him take Chester in to his home and raise him. Chester went to school there in Tamaha and the kids laughed at his name and he changed this the next year to Brown. My fathers birth certificate stated that Chester said he was born in Iowa.
