How Campbell Co got it's name. Maybe our moderator can tell us in fewer words. It is discussed in the book 200 years of Campbell Co. KY I can recopy it but it is a long full page. Is it true that court house records in KY are closed starting in 2007?????? If so I will have to travel to there again. Lots of questions are coming about the Spilman family and I still have questions about the early Ellis family in Campbell Co. This is only for MALE marriages for Campbell Co. SNDX-#514 Husband CAMPBELL, Daniel married POLLY MILLER on 29-08-1798 (look how early!) CAMPBELL, Elijah married SUSAN LORING on 12/06/1827 (her father or brother is on the 12 mile Baptist update Membership List for 1827.) I don't ususally come across the LORING surname. CAMPBELL, JOHN married Jemima EDMONDS on 01/08/1833 CAMPBELL, William married Elizabeth DELVERTER on 20/03/1838 These are the only CAMPBELL's found for this time period on this CD Rom for Campbell Co., KY. Here is one female CAMPBELL I ran across by chance: CAMPBELL, . Rebecca (Mrs.) 19/09/1795 (this is really early!) I did not copy off the female marriages as it took about $15.00 to copy off just the males. Queston: Does anyone know how Campbell Co. got it's name? Was it anything to do with this Daniel CAMPBELL or husband or Mrs. Rebecca Campbell remarried in 1795? Hope this is helpful to the CAMBPELL researcher of Campbell Co.
