Hope this list can help me locate information on the Sanftleben family. Heinrich Sanftleben, and his wife Elizabeth Kaufmann Sanftleben immigrated in the United States in mid-1800s. Settling in Covington, they had 3 daughters and 1 son. Daughters were Freda, Dora and Minnie and son was Fredreck Ernest Sanftleben. Freda married my great-grandfather, James Harvey Cook in Cincinnati. but lived in Covington for a number of years. They had 2 children - one of whom died at an early age, the other, a son by the name of Harry Ernest Cook. The Cooks eventually moved to Greensboro, North Carolina.
