Ernest M. Chamberlin/Margaret (Clifton) Chamberlin are enumerated in the 1920 and 1930 Campell County, KY census records - Cote Brilliante and Dayton respectively. They have children: William E., who is 2 months in the 1920 census and William E. and Marjorie, who is 8 in the 1930 census - both children born in KY. Apparently shortly after the 1930 census they moved to Cincinnati, OH. Ernest M. died there 21 June 1970. According to church records, Mrs. Margaret B. Chamberlin moved her membership from Central Baptist Church, Amelia, OH to Trinity Baptist Church, 5th and Park, Newport, KY 14 March 1972. Can anyone tell me if this church is still active? I think Margaret Chamberlin probably passed away within a few years, but I cannot find a record. Any help or suggestions for search would be appreciated. Flavia Hodges, San Pablo, CA
The Internet shows: TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH, 510 PARK AVENUE, NEWPORT KY 41071 859-581-9197 I didn't find an official church web page. I am not sure based on your e-mail if Margaret moved back to Kentucky but I can find no record of Margaret Chamberlin in Kentucky death records, marriage records or the local newspaper index. You might try checking the Social Security death index for her. A search of city directories could also narrow down the death date. Kentucky Birth records show Margaret had 3 kids: William E. Chamberlin born 11/11/1919 in Campbell County. Margorie Chamberlin born 3/16/1921 in Campbell County. Robert E. Chamberlin born 1/12/1923 in Campbell County. The newspaper index shows the obituary of Robert E. Chamberlin in the Kentucky Post on October 3, 1925. He is listed in Ohio death records as dying 10/2/1925 in Hamilton County (Cincinnati) so I am guessing he died in a Cincinnati hospital.
