Hi Peach Grove/12 mile Church & Cemetery is very pretty setting and interesting. The cemetery is on both sides of the road behind the Church and in front of the Church. Many many grave stones are missing in the older part across the road from the Church. I supposed what is typical is many of the stones have fallen and grass has grown over them. I talked the fellow who moved the cemetery, and he knew there were a lot of people buried there, but did not know who or where the records were. According to him, the church did not have them as there was question of who owned some of that property. They were having trouble proving who owned what land on both sides of the Church. I was there July of 2004. Campbell Co Web Site does not state where their information came from. I drove the back roads to all those cemeteries, just to find Maines and Lewis families. Didn't find them. It is currently in Pendleton County (but very close to county border). I visited that graveyard when I was there and found some BEAGLE's and others. Many families had members buried at both church cemeteries. It was a church plant from the Flag Springs Baptist Church who sent a large group to start Peach Grove-I need to look up the date. I want to say late 1840's. It is about 3-4 miles away from Flag Springs, I would guess. Flag Springs was constituted in 1833 (I have copy of the constitution and the founding members, most of which were BEAGLE and THOMPSON family members or in-laws! It was on a 1 acre donation of WM THOMPSON's 1000 acres original Patent of Flag Springs from 1785.
