Have you checked the marriage records for Bracken County, KY? You mentioned that the parents of Maybelle lived in Bracken Ky. There is no town of Bracken, Ky that I know of. But Bracken County touches on Campbell County. The county seat of Bracken County is Augusta, Ky. The law in Kentucky permits a person to obtain a marriage license in any county in the state. It also allows the person to be married in any county in the state. But the marriage is recorded in the County in which the license was obtained. So it is very possible that the marriage license was obtained in Bracken county. If so, that is the county in which the record would be found. The marriage may have taken place in Bracken County or it may have taken place in Campbell County or any other county in the State, but the record would be in the county were the license was obtained.
