The George Pelstring, George P. & Company home address matches what I have for him. It was between 12th & 13th streets, they had white stone lions at the front entrance and a rooftop garden. WOW!!!! The George & Henry in 1889 & 1896 are his sons. George & Mary (Maria) had ten children of which Frank & Josephine passed. George Sr passed in 1884 at the age of 46, possibly from TB. I know George started a small grocery store, but don't know where that was. He had a cigar factory on Jackson between 14th & 15th streets, sold it to 3 gentlemen who formed the Columbia Mill Company - I have no dates - the grocery store was after he was ousted from Columbia Mill Co - he remained as General Manager with Columbia Mill Co & received a royalty of $10 per day for his patent of an imitation cedar wood used in making cigar boxes. Columbia finally ousted him because he had no papers confirming the patent.
