I'm definitely interested in the article dated Feb 24th 1902 "Pioneer Dead". I'll wait patiently to hear from you. Please let me know if you incur any costs, I'll kindly reimburse you for copy fees etc. if you could obtain a copy of the article(s). Many, many thanks. June

There are some limited Newport Kentucky death records that cover those years but no state wide records. The Newport records will occasionally mention a death from other parts of the county but it is a longshot. I will try to check the death records the next time I visit the library but that may be a couple of weeks away. I also did a search of the Kenton County Public Library's on-line Northern Kentucky newspaper index for the name Thomas Windram and found an article dated February 24, 1902 under the title "Pioneer Dead". I can't say for sure until I visit the library but that article is probably going to have the information you need. I will let you know what I find. Other newspaper articles you might be interested in: The name "Windram, Thomas (Mrs.)" in a listing of deaths dated July 19, 1887 The name Thomas Windram (a son or grandson?) in an article dated July 7, 1902 on the election of Cold Spring Trustees. The name Thomas Windram" in an article dated Sept 6, 1930 on Cold Spring Society. An article dated Feb 7, 1930 saying Charles Windram died in Florida.

It was glued to the front of a penny post card. The front of the card is a portrait of her mother standing by a bush and possibly a headstone. The obit says that she had a daughter named Rose or Rosa Megenity of Greenacres (I assume that it means Spokane, Wa) Do you have Rosa or her sister, Viletta in your records? Joanna Alderman died at age 82. She came west in about 1862, probably, as other Ellis family members came that year. She is buried at Moscow, Idaho.
Hi there June, I don't believe there are any death certificates issued prior to 1910 because we have been researching that area for a number of years and are unable to get any certificates for that period. Good luck with your research. Thanks, John & Gail Sexton. ----- Original Message ----- From: <jcorfield@sympatico.ca> To: <KYCAMPBE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2005 3:51 PM Subject: [KYCAMPBE] Date of death lookup please > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Windram > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gAB.2ACI/1985 > > Message Board Post: > > Hello, I'm researching the death of Thomas Windram who was listed in the > 1880 & 1900 census as living at Johns Hill, Campbell Country. Dear Gail and Jack, Do your KENNEDY's go back to the KENNEDY's of Campbell County, KY? Our line of BEAGLE married into the KENNEDY line. Would be interested to know how you connect. He was one of the earliest and largest landowners in Campbell County by 1785. EWING and RITCHIE are names associated with our WM THOMPSON of Campbell County, when he moved from VA to Lincoln Co., KY in 1782. All were early Scottish settlers in the early forts along with THOMPSON and BOONE. Wm Thompson had a 1000 acre Land Patent that was adjacent to the KENNEDY property in 1785 in Campbell Co, KY. His son, Wm Thompson moved to Campbell to settle there in 1800. There are RITCHIE's tied to this Wm THOMPSON by marriage prior to 1800. EWING's were neighbors in Lincoln County and fought with Wm Thompson in the early Indian conflicts of 1780's. They are mentioned in the Pension Application of Wm Thompson-age 15 in 1782 who applied for a Pension from Campbell Co. in 1833. This is on microfilm at the Federal Archives. There is a RITCHIE mentioned in a marriage bond for Wm. THOMPSON's daughter in Campbell County very early, prior to 1820. Then they seem to disappear, I think to MO. There are RITCHIE's in nearby Harrison Co., KY, however. Please email me at Karen Beagle, girlbeagle@aol.com

I'm trying to locate an Isaac Elledge married to Jinny Linn. I'm not certain of birth dates for either, but should be between 1840-1850. I believe that Isaac lived in Wilkes Co, N.C., and may have died about 1813 in Montgomery, KY. They should have had a son, James, born about 1776, who later married an Elizabeth Wamsley, in 1799 Campbell Co, KY. Any guidance would be most appreciated.
