Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gAB.2ACI/1984.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Diane, When you go to familysearch.org look at the tabs on the top part of the screen and click on the tab that shows "SEARCH" then when the page turns look on the left side of the screen and you will see a link that shows "CENSUS" click on that. Then when you get to the census page you can either put in first and last name OR just the surname. Don't put a town just set the little arrows for the State and County. Good Luck! :) Theresa

According to the 1880 census they had three sons (Charles, Harry and Fred) and one daughter (Ida). The 1900 census shows a second daughter (Adelay (sp?)).

    1. Re: [KYCAMPBE] Re: Caldwell
    2. I am also interested in the early JOHN CALDWELL's of Campbell County. WM THOMPSON, Sr. born 1740's who came to Campbell County by 1785 and had an original 1000 Acre Land Patent on Well's Creek (Flagg Springs) was married to JEAN/JANE CALDWELL. They were born in PA, moved to the priimitive Cub Creek Settlement in VA with other Scots-Irish families in the1740's. They moved to Lincoln County, KY by 1782 or earlier along with LOGAN, BOON and other early KY pioneer families. I have often wondered in the JOHN CALDWELL's found early in Campbell County came there from Lincoln county families related to JEAN CALDWELL THOMPSON. This would have been near the Danville area where the first Forts were located in teh late 1770's and early 1780's. Sincerely, Karen Beagle WM T THOMPSON b 1740's or so (wife JANE CALDWELL) WM THOMPSON, Sr. b 1767 in VA (moved to Campbell Co. by 1800 to settle father's Patent) LUCINDA THOMPSON BEAGLE (born Campbell Co. 1810)-moved to MO 1838 MANCIL ALEX. 2. Hi there, Checked my data base for LOGAN in Campbell Co. Found a marriage of a LOGAN to Mortimer DANIEL on Sept 24, 1849. This was the earliest I found for Campbell Co. The LOGAN's were very early settlers into Lincoln County from VA in teh 1780's along with Daniel Boon and other Scottish settlers from the VA outposts. I also have a few marriages in Mason County (the original county for Campbell) and for Harrison County very early (prior to 1810) if you are interested. Karen Beagle Girlbeagle @aol.com

    1. BEALL of Campbell County
    2. I am looking for any information on the various BEALL'S that were found very early (prior to 1800) in Campbell County-specifically: BENJAMIN DUKE BEALL born 1742: he was the origin for the town name of Mentor or prior to that BEALMONT or BELMONT. Married Jeanette Hamilton Kennedy, daughter of Wm C. Kennedy, one of the largest original landowners in Campbell county. JOHN BEALL: who was found on the 12 MIle Regular Baptist Membership List for 1814-1820. He was one of the members who helped constitute the new Baptist Church in Alexandria. GARRETT BEALL: found on the 1810 Census with a household of 12 persons on page 344, the same page as the KENNEDY family, etc. Questions 1. Were these brothers all born ca. 1740 or so? or not related at all? 2. Who were the parents, was it THOMAS A. BEALL who purchased land in Mason County in the 1790s? or was Thomas Beall another brother? 3. Were they of the line of NINIAN BEALL, great early citizen of Maryland and member of the House of Burgesses? 4. Did any or all of them come to Campbell County to help William C. KENNEDY and HENRY SUTTON, and LINDSEY to do the first survey of southern Campbell County on Well's Creek and the Ohio River in 1782? (Benjamin Duke Beall had an original Patent from the Gov of VA Colony). 5. Does anyone have records on any of the first surveyors who were granted land by the Governor of VA Colony for Campbell County during the period of 1780's? 6. Was Wm THOMPSON a part of this surveying team, and thus given the original Land Patent of 1000 acres on Well's Creek where Flag Springs Baptist Church now stands? Thanks in advance for any and all tips in regard to the earliest landowners and surveyors of the county, including BEALL, KENNEDY, LINDSEY, SUTTON, THOMPSON, etc. Karen Beagle Girlbeagle@aol.com (our line is directly back to this WM THOMPSON b. 1740's)
