Thanks for the research Anne. I have been unable to find any reference either. My ggg-grandfather card at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinatti shows him dying in 1851 and being transferred from Grape Ridge, Campbell Co. Ky in 1853. It could be that it was a "local" name for somegeographical position, or a Church name, or ... who knows. But thanks for the efforts ! Edwin's family is in the 1850 Census. 2. Bob, Unable to place these GROHs at this time. The names Philomena and George do exist in my GROH line in the 1840's in Ohio, but not enough to make the connection. I'll keep this information on file and will contact you if I can show a connection. 2. Susan, I have quite a bit of information on the BEHYMER family of Campbell County, KY. Please e-mail me at [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) Anyone else looking for: Descendants of JOHN BEHYMER and Barbara WEDDLE of Clermont Co., OH including: 1. ELIZABETH D. BEHYMER b. ca 1784 married to JACOB RARDIN buried in Rardin Private Cemetery in Campbell County, KY and 2. MARTIN BEHYMER b. 1794 married to 1) LUCY BEAGLE and 2) Elizabeth LINDSEY also died in Carthage, Campbell County and buried Rardin Private Cemetery. The BEHYMER family mostly found in Clermont Co., OH, but some found in early records of 4 Mile/ 12 Mile Baptist Church of Campbell county in th 1800-1830 period. My ties are to the MARTIN BEHYMER or BHYMER family of Campbell County but have exchanged info with others on the BEHYMER family from Franklin County, VA to Clermont Co., OH (across the river) and Campbell County, KY. Sincerely, Karen Beagle

    1. Re: [KYCAMPBE] Re: Iles
    2. I have just a little on the early ILES family of Campbell County in my pioneer collection data base for Campbell County. THOMAS ILES was born June 3, 1789 of parents NICHOLAS ILES (wife was DEBORAH). THOMAS ILES died in Flag Spring (wife was Mary). He is buried at the Flag Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. (note-many of the 12 mile Baptist people helped to start the Flag Spring Baptist Church in 1833) Children of THOMAS ILES and Mary were: 1. Bruce Iles 2. Harrison Iles 3. William Iles Bruce, Harrison, and William Iles are all on the (bb) Membership List for the 4 Mile/12 Mile Baptist Church of Campbell County. Note: William ILES is buried at the Twelve Mile Island Cemetery (on private property). It was flooded several times, and most markers are gone or unreadable. This information was given by oral tradition and passed on to Jean Houston of Campbell County who compiled cemetery lists for Campbell County. There is not a complete list of burials. (or a published list for that matter that I know of). Hope this helps. Karen Beagle PS If you want copies of the 4 mile/12 MIle church membership records with their names, I do have a copy.

Classification: Cemetery Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gAB.2ACI/2022 Message Board Post: Atlas of Boone, Kenton and Campbell Counties, Kentucky 1883 http://www.historic-atlas-series.com/ky_map/bkc_ky_index.html This abridged Atlas CD contains high resolution digital images of vintage 1883 Boone, Kenton and Campbell county Kentucky maps that are presented in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). All 1883 Boone, Kenton and Campbell county precinct maps are included on this CD, as are many city, town and village plan maps from this period. The Boone, Kenton and Campbell county atlas also contains the following 19th century maps: Map of the State of Kentucky and Tennessee; Map of the Hemisphere The Boone county precincts included are: Beaver, Burlington, Bullittsville, Bellevue, Carlton, Florence, Hamilton, Petersburg, Taylorsport, Union, Verona and Walton. Village and town maps of Boone county in this atlas: Burlington, Bellevue, Florence, Hebron, McVille, Petersburg, Taylorsport, Union, Verona and Walton. The Campbell county precincts included are: Alexandria, Bellevue, California, Carthage, Cold Spring, Dayton, Grant's Lick, Gubsers Mill, Hayfield, Highlands, Johns Hill and Newport. Village and town maps of Campbell county in this atlas: Alexandria, Bellevue, California, Dayton, Mentor and Newton. The Kenton county precincts included are: 1st Magisterial District (Rush's), 2nd Magisterial District (Scott's), 3rd Magisterial District (Independence), 4th Magisterial District (Koch's) and 5th Magisterial District (Stephenson's). Village and town maps of Kenton county in this atlas: Amsterdam, Benton Station, Bromley, Canton or Visalia Station, Central Covington, Covington, Independence, Ludlow, Morning View, South Covington and West Covington. Details on early maps are often difficult to read and these are no exception; however, by virtue of the Adobe PDF formatting, these documents may be inspected at high levels of magnification without additional digital distortion; something that simply cannot be accomplished with paper reproductions and photocopies. Follow these links for examples of Precinct and Village maps. Each map includes many 19th century features such as: * toll roads, railroads and canals * post offices and government sites * schoolhouses, churches and cemeteries * rivers, streams and ferries * race tracks, fair grounds and picnic groves * industrial sites, furnaces and mills * early property ownership, homesteads and farms * -and much, much more The abridged Atlas of Boone, Kenton and Campbell Counties, Kentucky may be an invaluable aid to Genealogists, Historians and researchers in search of 19th century northern Kentucky places and place names. These early maps often contain many places that no longer exist or that have been obscured over time; the location of property owners, businesses, churches and cemeteries may assist genealogical researchers interested in Kentucky history. The Adobe Acrobat Reader for MS Windows is needed to view, zoom, pan and print from the PDF map images contained in this atlas; and is included free on each CD. No other software is necessary. The map data has been created and configured using the latest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader (6.0) for MS Windows (98, 98SE, XP, NT and 2000). The maps may be viewed in earlier versions of the software as well; however, optimum use of the data can be expected using the Adobe Reader 6.0 that is included on this CD. County atlas CD's from Jefferson, Oldham, Nelson, Spencer and Shelby counties are also available: http://www.historic-atlas-series.com/ky_map/ky_index.html Regards, Rich Green http://www.historic-atlas-series.com

This land is situated in the Taylor's Daughters Historic District of Bellevue. The Bellevue Town Lot Improvement Company appears in only one city directory (1890-1891). H.M. Healy, a lawyer in Newport, is listed as the President and C.W. Nagel, a real estate agent with an office in his home at 232 Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue, is listed as Secretary. I am trying to trace the ownership of this property prior to its sale to John Hils. How and from whom did the Bellevue Town Lot Improvemnt Company obtain the land? How did this previous owner gain title to the land?
