In my experience with extracted marriage information, no place names are listed, not even on the originals which I got from the Court house in Alexandria. They just state that they paid the bond money and by who. Have you checked the Campbell Co web site for information. Clark is a common name. Kentucky is hard to research out here in the Midwest as I am from Minnesota and had to go to Kentucky to find my information. There are no real plat maps either, unless you have figured out the meets and bounds system, which is tough in Campbell County, Kentucky Annette DeCourcy Towler Home page for DeCourcy & Pack http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~decourcy/ Web page for St. Cloud Area Genealogists, Inc. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnscag/SCAG/index.htm Family Researching in SE KY PACK, CHANDLER, WHEELER, FAIRCHILD,LeMASTERS, RAMEY,MILLER/MILAM/MILLAM, JAYNE, McSPADDEN Researching in NE KY DeCOURCY, ELLIS, BALL, MAINS, LEWIS, EVANS, SPILMAN, HUTCHINS, HAMILTON Researching in PA, IL Wessling, Somers, Schuler, Plagee/Plaggee, DeCourcy, Brownback, Pollock -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, November 01, 2005 11:36 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [KYCAMPBE] Jones Marriages in 1830's This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. One of the children, Samuel Mann, b. 1815 married a Vanhorn Van Horn. Possibly Jesse Vanhorn's daughter or sister, as he was a local landowner near the Mann family. I am looking for apparently obscure information -- and mostly what I want to know is if Samuel Mann had any children. Mann's owned a farm on the line between Kenton Co and Campbell Co., but moved the family to Moral, IN in Shelby Co. I was told by a librarian they might have moved there with the Quakers for safety. I am not sure Samuel moved since he might have been old enough to stay in KY if he so chose. Suzy Wert Indianapolis

Easter Gillham, born Abt. 1797 in South Carolina, USA. She married John E Giles February 12, 1816 in ?, Campbell, Kentucky, USA; died August 9, 1866 in ?, Campbell, Kentucky, USA. I know the above is an old posting on your message board. My name is Kathie Elaine Moore, I'm married to James Wendell Adair. My mother was Gale Marie Mezger, she married Robert Earl Moore. Her mother was Gladys Idell Libla, she married Gottleib Christian Mezger. Her mother was Minnie Ellen Miller, she married George Harrison Libla. Her mother was Martha Jane Spaulding, she married Jacob Miller. then I get confused. Martha Jane Spaulding was born 09 Oct 1844 in Campbell Co., KY. I can find her in the 1850 Census living with (I believe) her maternal grandparents; Esther and John Giles in District 2, Campbell, KY. John E. and Esther (Easter) Giles had three daughters; Nancy, Delila Ann and Lydia A. Giles. Hannah A. Herbert and Aaron Spaulding had two sons; Ephraim Dozier and Henry E. Spaulding. Ephraim Dozier Spaulding married Nancy Giles. Nancy died before 1845, because then he married Mary Ginn. Henry E. Spaulding married Delila Ann Giles. I have seen where the parents of Martha Jane Spaulding are listed under both sets of siblings. Do you know who the parents are of Martha Jane Spaulding? I think it is Ephraim D. and Nancy Spaulding. I think maybe she died of childbirth complications. Thank You for your time and help. Kathie Adair email: [email protected]

I am trying to locate family members of Wilma Strub Harris. I have purchased over a hundred photographs from a local flea market and would like to find a family member interested in purchasing them. I have had them for about 2 years now with no luck in finding anyone willing to buy them. I bought these precious photos for a mere 25.00 and that is all I am asking for them. I dont care to keep them but I know there has got to be a family member out there that would love to have them, I know I would if they were of my family. They include the names Strub, Harris, Keppler, and many others. If interested please email me. Thanks Rose

I did a search for mothers with the maiden name of Mettman and found three kids born to an Anna Mettman in Campbell County. Robert H. Hater born 2/25/1915 Elmer H. Hater born 9/4/1916 Jerome G. Hater born 12/17/1920 This would appear to rule out Anna as the mother of Gert or Ralph Mettman. Kentucky death records show no deaths of anyone named Mettman or Tegenkamp between 1911 and 1929. The Northern Kentucky newspaper index shows nothing under Mettman and I found nothing searching the Kenton County Library's Northern Kentucky Genealogy Databases. The only other place I can think to check would be the cemetery records to see if those records will identify the family or identify the funeral home that handled the burials.
