    1. Grave of Robert S. Williams, d 1898
    2. Anderson
    3. According to his death certificate, Robert S. Williams, age 64, died in Covington on 14 Feb 1898 and was buried in "Flagg Springs, Camp. Co., Ky." Are there any cemeteries in Flagg Springs besides the Flagg Springs Baptist Church Cemetery? A list of tombstone inscriptions for that cem does not show his name. Robert married Charlotte Bailey in Campbell Co in 1858. She died before 1880, and I assume he was buried near her. Any help in locating his grave would be very much appreciated. Andy Anderson

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/gAB.2ACI/1906.3.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Subscribing to Ancestry.com would be a way to access the census records. Your local library may have an agreement with Heritage Quest to allow you free access on your computer via your library card number to the censuses they offer, which, I think, are 1790-1820, 1860-1870, 1900-1920. The LDS has a transcription of the 1880 at their web site - http://www.familysearch.org. Listings there should always be checked against the microfilm, to satisfy yourself that everything was copied correctly. Your local LDS Family History Center (FHC) may offer Ancestry.com free on their computers. I may be mistaken, but I believe all FHC's are open free to the public. You pay only for microfilm rental fees, copying fees, etc. You can get a lot of answers at an FHC, either from the volunteer librarian or from the patrons. Some of the patrons at my FHC are long-time, experienced genealogists. I think you can still order the censuses on microfilm at the Fam Hist Ctrs like we used to have to do "in the old days". The only other places I can think of where you can find all the censuses in one place are the National Archives (NARA) or one of their regional branches, or at certain large libraries. If you're lucky, there may be a NARA branch near you. http://www.archives.gov/facilities/index.html

George was foreman in a lumber company and Harry was a machinist in a shop. At the same address in 1910 were Edward Berkemeyer, age 23 OH GER GER, "machine h, mfg co" and his wife Johanna, 26 KY OH OH. They had been md 2 yrs; 1 ch, 0 living. Edward was listed as head of household and Johanna was his wife. If there was a relationship between either Edward or Johanna and George or Mary, it was not stated. The birthplaces of Harry and Charles suggest that the family moved from OH to KY around 1890. George and Mary, married ca 1876, may be listed in Ohio in the 1880 census transcription online at the LDS web site.

    3. I have an index to Marriage Records of Campbell Co., KY 1795 -1840, by Kraft. I have a copy of the pages up to 1830 NO Thomas Logan listed. Their daughter was born in Ohio and 24 years old in the 1850 census. Yes in the Census he is listed as Sheriff, I know how frustrating this can be. Also you wonder why the different ages, in the census listing. Two marriages? In the Campbell County Court house, there are many different books, and files with indexes. Two Thomas Logan's in Hamilton Co Ohio in the 1840 census, One is age 20 - 30 and wife about the same and no children. Could they have been married in Hamilton Co. Says Ward 4 Cincinnati. The other one is Ward 7 Cincinnati. Male in 30 to 40, 1 female age 5-10, 1 female age 15-20, 1 female 30-40, People moved back and forth across the river so much. I haven't been able to find anything on this branch of my family so any information on either family would be greatly appreciated.
