My friends - As we begin another week of data posting, we are returning to a series which began about two years ago, but which has been dormant since that time. Early Calloway County Wills covers the time frame of about 1838 to 1870. Will Book A has disappeared over the years. It was sent to the KY Archives, but the Archives has indicated that they did not receive it. As a result, our will and estate records in Calloway begin with Will Book B. Subscribers to the lists which I host can obtain an abstract of the will of a person in the listing below by sending a request to me for that abstract. Because some of these can be quite lengthy, even in abstract form, I will ask that requests not exceed two (2) names. As always, your continuing assistance in not resending this entire message back to me with the request is greatly appreciated. Just as a side note - the films of the Graves County Order Books have not yet arrived, although, if they were shipped on the date indicated by the Archives, they should have been here by now. I will shortly be making inquiries as to when those films were actually shipped. I will continue to keep you abreast of the situation. Tomorrow, we will return to Hickman County. -B +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Calloway County - Early Wills - Part 3 Churchill, A[rmistead] G[utherie] Metcalf, Thomas Bogard, Joseph Thompson, Mary Chandler, James Sr. Law, John C.
