My friends - I thought it would be worthwhile for us to take a little break from Graves County Order Book G, so I have dipped into that old collection of several hundred 5" floppies that I have and which contain all sorts of items that I have transcribed and gathered on JP counties over the past 35 years. I have converted the burial records for the West Fork Cemetery in Calloway County(which is west of Murray, near the community of Stella), and the converted file is ready for distribution. This particular record was originally taken from a reading which was made in 1968, so there will be cases in which you will see the names of people who were born in the late 1800's who have no death date. They were still living(albeit elderly)at the time this reading was done. This cemetery is of medium size, with perhaps known 200 burials. The earliest birth year which I noticed was 1823. Specifically, the surnames found in this Cemetery are: Adams, Beaman, Bedwell, Bielenberg, Blakeley, Bridges, Brown, Cain, Cathey, Christenberry, Clayton, Cole, Cook, Croley, Crouch, Culver, Cunningham, Davidson, Dixon, Drinkard, Enoch, Ezell, Farless, Finney, Fisher, Fulton, Garland, Gilbert, Graham, Gregory, Gupton, Harding, Hargrove, Hatcher, Hendricks, Hixon, Hopkins, Housden, James, Johnson, Jones, Kirkland, Lawson, Mangrum, McCaslin, Miller, Morgan, Norsworthy, Paschall, Patton, Peeler, Perdue, Radford, Rhea, Robertson, Rogers, Rose, Shelton, Sledd, Sloan, Story(many), Stubblefield, Suiter, Thomas, VanMeter, Washer, Whitlow, Woods, Workman and Worley. Subscribers to the JP and Calloway lists can obtain a copy of this file by sending a request to me(not to the Lists, please). Please request *West Fork File*. The file is available in either Plain Text or Adobe Acrobat PDF format. If no format is specified, I will send it as a plain test attachment to an e-mail message. The file can also be sent in the body of an e-mail message, but this will often result in severe skewing of columnar alignments. If the file must be sent in the body of an e-mail message, please indicate that you require the file as a *straight e-mail message*. The complete file will be sent. Time constraints do not permit me to go into the file and extract data about individual surname or burials. Your assistance in not resending this entire message back to me with the request continues to be appreciated. Non-subscriber/PML requests will be honored only if time permits. -B ==============================================================================
