Hello, I'm researching an article on the O. K. Corral gunfight in Tombstone, Arizona, the one involving Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. One of the important individuals in the story is Sheriff Marshall Williams. Williams disappears after the gunfight, under strange circumstances and rumors had it that he went to Kentucky. Kentucky Death records show a Marshal Williams having died at the age of 76 in 1927, place of death Calloway, Kentucky. Further information is that his death certificat is 02949 and his death is contained in Volume 6. I'm attempting to find out if this was the Marshal Williams, born in New York, age 28 in the 1880 Tombstone census, who worked as a Wells Fargo agent and lawman in Tombstone.
