    1. [KYCALLOWAY] New JP Land Grants Text File Now Available - L Surnames - Part - File LG-842-A
    2. Bill Utterback
    3. My friends - I returned home late yesterday from Alabama and am currently trying to catch up on e-mail which I was unable to answer while I was away, since I had no resources with me. I have had an opportunity, however, to get another JP land grants file ready for distribution. This file contains some of the surnames which being with the letter "L" that are "left-overs", for one reason or another. As I have mentioned in previous messages, we have pretty well covered the nearly 10,000 grants in the JP region. The ones which remain are "strays", so to speak, that were not picked up in the earlier files on this subject. Specifically, the surnames covered in this file include: Leech, Leigh, Lewelling/Lawallen/Lewallen, Labareine/ Lebareaine, Lester, Leachman, Leemon, Lemmons, Leonard, Lindsey/Linsey, Liles, Litsey, Linn, Lilly, Light, Linder, Linch, Little, Ligon and Lingo. Subscribers to the lists which I host can obtain a copy of this file by sending a message to me(not to the List, please). Please request *File LG-842-A*. The file is available in either plain text format or Adobe Acrobat PDF. I will send the file as a plain text attachment to an e-mail message unless PDF is specified. The file can also be sent in the body of a regular e-mail message if attachments are not workable, although this will often result in severe skewing of the columnar alignments. If this approach is necessary, please specify that the file is needed as a *straight e-mail message*. The complete file will be sent. Time constraints do not permit me to go into the file and extract data about individual surnames. Non-subscriber requests will be filled only if time permits. As a reminder, the JP Land Grants web site is located here: www.rootsweb.com/~kygraves/JPGrants.htm -B ===============================================================================
