My friends - I am stopping by today to let the Lists know that I have now completed converting another of those files on the several hundred old 5" floppies that I have on hand. This file contains the burials in the Almo Cemetery in Calloway County, up to about 1975. It is a middle sized cemetery, with about 150-200 burials. The earliest birth year that I noticed was 1831, but there may be some earlier birth years that I did not see in my cursory review of the contents of this file. Specifically, the known surnames buried in this cemetery are: Wright, Roberts, Alexander, Beach, Beale, Belcher, Redden, Blakely, Brewer, Britton/Brittain, Burge, Calhoon, Clark, Cleaver, Clendenon, Cooper, Hendricks, Copeland(2), Crouch, Dailey, Fields, Duncan, Edwards, Fakes, Farmer, Hatcher, Geurin, Gream, Grunwald, Gurrent, Hargrove, Miller, Henson, Hicks, Hopkins, Hubbs, Hunt, Mayes, Hurt, Imes, Jackson, Jones, Joslin, Lee, Lewis, Manning, Parker, Rose, Trevathan, Shelby, Starks, Stephenson, Stroud, Swift, Taylor, Thompson and Tidwell. The file is available in either Plain Text or Adobe Acrobat PDF format. I will send the file as a Plain text attachment to an e-mail message, unless PDF is specified. The file can also be sent in the body of a regular e-mail message, if attachments will not work, but this will very often skew the columnar alignments.
