My friends - Our first data posting for this week will return us to our review of newspaper snippets from Calloway County in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These snippets today are from the 1907-1910 time frame. These snippets may contain re[ports of anything from simple visitation notices to criminal activities, marriages, births, death notices and obituaries, and the occasional lengthy memorial to a deceased individual. The information of genealogical importance varies from snippet to snippet, but each one is a brief glimpse into an earlier time. Subscribers to the JP and Calloway lists can obtain the texts of a snippet contained in the listing below by sending a request to me. Because of the length of some of the snippets, I do ask that no more than three (3) items be requested. Your continuing assistance in not resending this entire message back to me with the request is very much appreciated. Tomorrow's posting will be one of my "Question and Answer" communications. I try to do this once or twice a year. I note questions which are asked of me through the year and, as tenured subscribers know, I pool those questions into a single posting, with the answers. That is coming tomorrow. -B ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Calloway County - Early Newspaper Snippets - Continued Adams, Sallie (funeral) Keel, William (birthday party) Skinner, Zelma (death) Wilson, Boyd Meek | Swift, Myrtle B. |wedding Alexander, Rev.
