    1. [KYCALLOWAY] [KYCALLOW] Abigail D. (Outland) Brandon
    2. Hello, Outland researchers, I have a supposition that I wish someone could either agree with me, or shoot the idea down. Of course, if one could agree with me, and provide proof--that would be great. We know that the father of Abigail was Thomas Outland, because as father he gave consent on the marriage license or bond in 1833. One would assume that he was living in Calloway County at the time. Now, which Thomas Outland are we talking about. It isn't T. Outland m. to Abigail Daughtry. He supposedly died about 1821. T. Outland m. to Julia Ward's daughter's name was Rachel Abigail Outland, whereas our Abigail's full name from marriage license or bond was Abigail D. Outland. There was a Thomas Outland listed in the 1830 census for Calloway County, of the age 40 - 50, and a Thomas Outland listed in the 1840 census for Calloway County, of the age 50 - 60 with wife and children. The other day a query came from the OUTLAND-L of rootsweb.com asking if Jeremiah Outland m. Messinah Kitts could be the son of Thomas and Mary Rutland Outland. They gave the 1850 census of Mary Outland, age 58, with three daughters. This Mary was the next door neighbor of Josephus Outland. This Thomas' age would put him in the generation of Josiah, Joab and Enos Outland. I've never seen any work posted anywhere for this Joab Outland--has anyone else. I'm wondering if Thomas and Abigail Daughtry Outland had another son by the name of Thomas or if Joab had another name--such as Thomas. Does anyone have any proof, either for or against this idea? Judy
