James Swofford married in Calloway Co. 1. Matilda Hodges Feb. 26, 1833 she died in Dec. 1840 2. Martha Shelton Sept. 2,1841 He had a brother John Swofford born Oct. 31 1816 Dr. James Swofford was born Aug. 4, 1814 later mvd to Ms. He had several children born there.
