I am new to the list having just made a connection with Calloway County. I'm seeking information about the following individuals: Daniel R Fakes, born 1827, my g-g-grandfather. Possibly the same Daniel R H Fakes with a KY Land Grant, T-1, R-6E, SW Qr Sec 14. By 1850, he resides in Wilson County, TN. John Fakes, born 1780 in Scotland, identified by relatives as Daniel's father. There is a John Fakes shown with JP land grants in the same area as Daniel. Nov 7, 1808 he marries Mary Edwards in Wilson County, TN. I'm trying to find a connection to confirm Daniel's parentage plus find out any and all info about John and Daniel in Calloway County. I am considering a trip to Calloway County later this week or next week, and would appreciate any info, tips, etc. I can obtain to assist my research while there. Many thanks in advance!!
