    1. [KYCALLOWAY] Re: J. STAMPS m.1872 Calloway Cty. KY
    2. Hi, got your message. I'm not related to anyone that you listed as far as I know. I just wanted to try to help you out. I don't have a digital camera either, but if I keep making pictures it would be a great investment. I went out and made some pictures today for a man. I only made about 5 for him, and turned out I made about 100 for myself, yes 100! As for your question of living close by, I live a few miles from the Ivie cem. If you have family in other cemeteries in Calloway Co. that you want pictures of just let me know.I will get those others for you asap.

    2. I started to give you some info on this family but thought your name looked familiar. I remembered seeing your name and family group sheets in the Calloway County gen. soc. newsletter. Looked at what you had in that. It is pretty much what I have also. You can contact me if you want to compare notes. You have found alot of info since you posted this query looks like. Thanks, Kelly

    2. If the cemetery is 3 miles southwest of Calvert City, it will be in Marshall County, instead of Calloway County. I will see if I can find out anything else for you though. You might want to post it on the Marshall County board also. Kelly

    1. [KYCALLOWAY] Re: ATNIP - 1900 Calloway Co, Ky
    2. I looked in the 1900 census of Calloway County, Ky. I found that Susan is listed as a neice of Curtis LAMBERT. Daniel O. Atnip is Susan's 4 mo. old son. Susan was widowed at the time. Her birth is listed as Mar. 1877. She was listed as having two children but only one still living at time of census. David R. Atnip age 27 yrs. was a boarder, he also widowed. He may have been Susan's brother-in-law (just a guess). If I can be of more help let me know. Kelly

Did find a Burr cemetery listed with following families: Crabtree, Burr, Morehead, Bizzle, and Childres(s) families buried there. No stones remain. Nothing left of cemetery to be found. Maybe some of these names will sound familiar to you. Sorry couldn't find more for you. Kelly

    1. [KYCALLOWAY] New JP Land Grants Text File Now Available - "Mc" Surnames (Part) - File LG-854 & Proctor Map of JP
    2. Bill Utterback
    3. My friends - I am stopping by today to let everyone know that I have another file ready for distribution in our continuing series on the JP Land Grants. As I have mentioned recently, we have basically completed, over the past 3 years, almost all of the nearly 10,000 grants which were offered in the JP region. I am now doing some housekeeping work in putting together those surnames which may have been left out for one reason or another up to now. This file contains more of the surname which begin with "Mc". Specifically, the surnames contained in this file are: McIntosh, McKracken, McKenney, McKnight, McKnion, McLaughlin, McLain, McLeod, McManes, McMinis, McMorris, McNatt, McNabb, McNeill/McNeel, McNot, McNutt, , McPherson, McPhail, McQuary, McRacken(s)/McRackin and McWorter. Subscribers to the lists which I host can obtain this file by sending a request to me(not to the List, please). Please ask for *File LG-854*. The file is available in either plain text or Adobe Acrobat PDF format. I will send the file as a plain text attachment to an e-mail message, unless PDF is requested. The file can also be sent in the body of an e-mail message, if attachments are not workable, but this form of transmission often skews the columnar alignments. If this approach is needed, please ask for the file as a "straight e-mail message". The complete file will be sent. Time constraints do not permit me to go into these files and extract data on individual surnames. Non-subscriber requests will be filled only if time permits. Those who attended the Jackson Purchase Homecoming event last October will recall that we had a number of copies of the 1880 Proctor Map of the Jackson Purchase region, which shows all of the sections, townships and ranges for the entire area. These were very large maps - 4 feet by 4 feet. I have had a number of requests for these maps over the months since the Homecoming, but recently, I found that I could no longer get the larger size. I now have a number of these same maps in a 2 by 3 foot size, which are much more manageable, and which retain almost all of the clarity of the original, larger size. The maps do not show Carlisle County, as it had not been formed yet in 1880, but the county line is easily determined and added. These Proctor maps are wonderful adjunctive aids when working with land records. I will offer these at my cost($6.00), plus the cost of a mailing tube and Priority Mail postage if anyone is interested in obtaining one of them. Please contact me by private e-mail if you have an interest in getting one of these maps. -B ==============================================================================
