    2. The Times Leader Princeton Kentucky June 20, 2001 James J. Williams, 75, died Friday, June 15, 2001, in Warrenton Virginia. He was born December 20th 1925, to Roy Clifford and Helena Pearl Williams in Central City. He was senior class Salutatorian at Butler High School, Princeton, for the class of 1944. Upon graduation, he entered the U. S. Army Air Corps and served as a staff sergeant during and after World War II in the European and North African Theaters. He attended Murray State College, and in 1953 began a career in civil engineering. Having worked 35 years for the Illinois Central Railroad and Amtrak, he retired in 1988. Survivors include his wife, Sue Thompson Williams of Rixeyville, Va.; a son, James C. Williams of Falls Church, Va.; three daughters, Brenda W. Panther of San Francisco, Calif., Becky W. Parrish of Orlean, Va., and Melissa K. Williams of West Springfield, Va.; five grandchildren, Amelia, Lena and Isaac Parrish and Hannah and Ethan Beale; and one sister, Jane W. Newsom of Princeton. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 21st, at 11:00 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post 2524 honor guard and American Legion Post 330. Arrangements by Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, Virginia.
