    3. **************** The Corporation of Princeton is a beautiful and thriving Inland Village situated 12 miles from Cumberland River surrounded with a fertile county, and industrious, intelligent social population, accessible by Daily Stages, amply supplied with as pure and Good Water as any county can furnish sufficient for the use of the population of any of the Second Cities in the Union. Besides the Schools both male and female within the Corporation immediately outside of the corporation stands the new College Edifice recently erected and just now completed at a cost of about $20,000. Known as Princeton College. This Institution is not under nor subject to the exclusive control of any particular Religious Denomination. But is under the care and management of a Board Of Trustees whose zeal and character is the cause of Education is a sufficient guarantee for its future prosperity. The friends and patrons of education through out the Union and especially in Kentucky and the adjoining state are respectfully invited to this institution. **************** The foregoing was included at the end of the 1860 census for Princeton by E.
