Hi again Virginia, So sorry this info was of no help to you for your line. I know there are other Benjamin Ladds. Do you have any idea about what year he was born,died,etc.? There is a lady (volunteer) that works at the library at Cadiz,Ky. who knows everyone. Her name is Mrs.McAtee & she's elderly, so she knows alot of history. She helped me so much when I went there to look for Mitchell,Bush,& Tooke relatives. I ran out of time & had to leave before I could get very far through all the info that she dug out for me from the Historical area in the library. Bet she could help you too. Don't know what days she's there. I went on friday afternoon. She told me to come back when I could & if she was there she would help me again, but that anyone there could get out what I asked for (since she had taken the time to write a list of books that I could look through after I told her some of the names I was looking for). Let me know how things come out if & when you get there. Also, if I find anymore Benjamin Ladds through my research, I'll send you that info. You never know.
