I noticed in the post about John Miller that he came from Rutherford County, Tennessee to Caldwell County. I have a Bass ancestor who made that same trek in the 1840s. So far, I have been unable to identify anyone he may have traveled with. I am wondering why he would have gone north to Kentucky from Tennessee then south to Texas.
