Webster's says ; author, noun, a person who WRITES a novel, poem, essay, etc: the COMPOSER of a literary work, AS DISTINGUISED FROM a compiler, translator, editor, or copyist. Like I said in my letter, I am not the AUTHOR of the obits and deeply resent the notion that I am some sort of idiot in stating so. Would it be asking too much that ones name be listed as submitter not AUTHOR? I have no objection to my name being listed as submitter of the obits or my email being listed alongside. I have received mail from Australia, New Zealand, etc, concerning obits I have posted. I think that part of the story is pretty neat!! I followed the link "about us" that you sent and you are right, it readily explains the position of Myfamily.com completely and calls one who posts a submitter.
