    3. Elaine, I assume that you have searched Find A Grave? My personal next step would be to look up the Butler County Burial Permits Records. These have burials that were made from about 1870 going forward. Perhaps someone at the Butler county Historical Society or, some other online organization in Butler County would look for you, which would be fairly easy as you have her death date. I might also suggest the Western Kentucky University Special Collections Library, at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Just ask someone there if they have the Burial Permits Records for Butler County. If so, ask for someone to look her up and scan a copy of her record to you. This Ancestry page also has a photo of Martha I did a bit of searching and see that someone has pointed out the Wearen names at Warren's Mill Cemetery. There are many Warren Burials in this cemetery and I would be satisfied that she is buried there. There is also a Ancestry file stating her as Martha Ann Short & spouse Alexander Arthur Warren who supposedly was B: 1868, Butler County-D: 1947, Greene County, Illinois. Martha is shown as Warren as well. This page also has a nice photo of Martha. Hope it helps and good luck, Don Burris ----- Original Message ----- From: Elaine64 via<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Friday, December 04, 2015 10:11 PM Subject: [KYBUTLER] Death record How do I look up a death or burial record for Butler County? I have been unable to find a record online anywhere. However, early research indicates that my great grandmother died and was buried in Butler County. Her name is Martha A. (Short) Warren. She was born 20 Feb 1874 in Greene Co., Illinois. She lived in St. Francois Co., Missouri in 1880. She married Alexander Arthur Warren on 2 Jan 1894 in Greene Co., IL. She died 4 Feb 1899 in Butler Co. I have info that there is a Martha Alice WEAREN in a Butler Co. Cemetery Book -- burial or death date unknown. So I'm not sure if it's the same woman because there were several members of the Warren family who lived in Butler Co. and early family members spelled the name WEAREN, WAREN, and WEARREN. Thanks for any info anyone can provide. 3. The BC Cemetery Book has only the individual reported earlier.  If you are sure that she died in KY, you should contactthe KY Dept. of Vital Statistics with the information you have and request a copy of the Death Certificate.  There willbe a cost for their search and they may not find a record for her.
