I am wondering if your pulling our, and I repeat our Butler County GenWeb site out of the Kentucky State GenWeb Sites list and for that matter, the USGenWeb Sites list is ill advised. When I first started using the Butler County, KY GenWeb Site, I didn't even know that one existed. I started with the US GenWeb Site, and drilled down to Kentucky, and then drilled down to Butler County. There it was, and I was thrilled that I had discovered this site. I have been using it ever since. My concern is that you are taking it off into your own little private domain, never ever to be discovered by future researchers again. The other thing that I don't like about your moving this site, one that a number of researchers have been contributing to over the years, is that you decided arbitrarily to do it on your own without consulting with other users, and asking for their permission to move their information to your private Web Site. I know that you are supposed to be the administrator of the site, but do you have authority to do this. I don't think so! I have seen nothing anywhere to suggest that we will be charged for using the Butler County GenWeb Site. If you are wanting to have your own private little Web Site, then maybe you should establish one just for your own use, and not at the expense of all of the researchers who have been contributing and using to this site over the years.
