There is a reference to a Wayman Porter, African American who was licensed to preach. He lived in Ohio Co, KY and possibly Butler Co. and died sometime between 1870 and 1880. Not sure about the book or any information it may contain. There is a Wayman Porter in the 1870 United States Federal Census > Kentucky > Ohio > Cromwell, it says his occupation was a Cooper.
