I would like to help with indexing the Wills... Let me know where you would like me to start... Also if there is anyone living in Butler County. I am looking for a Will or Estate file for a Richard DALLAM dated about 1820... Thank you and Happy New Year, Christopher T. Smithson 127 N. Thank you, Annetta. It could very well be Monticello. On the death cert., it looks like: Monlecali. The 'l' could be an uncrossed 't', the e could be an undotted 'i', etc. From: Annetta cole I do not find a Martha C. Lee listed in Butler Co. Cemetery book. Good morning everyone, I am thankful to everyone that answered my previous listing. However, I'm still looking. Nancy Brown Russ is not my Nancy Whitaker Russ. Two of Nicholas Russ' sons married women named Nancy. Amos Russ married Nancy Brown, and Daniel Russ married Nancy Whitaker. Turns out, the Nancy Russ on the 1870 census was Nancy Brown Russ. And she had the daughter named Martha. I am certain that my Nancy Russ was Nancy Whitaker, daughter of Mark Whitaker. Any other leads on her final resting place? Do you know any possibility that she would have Brown listed as a middle name? I am moving to Bowling Green in 2 weeks and would be willing to go look for this grave for you and see if the transcription is accurate -- you mention being to Morgantown several times but not how close it is for you to go again. Directly underneath her in the listing is a "Hammers, Martha Russ" that appeasr to be the right age for a daughter. Does that sound possible? Interesting, then, that it is "Nancy Brown Russ" but with that fitting, if you're not in the area I would be happy to get a photo of the grave for you when I move down to KY (Oak Grove was on my list of cemeteries I needed to get a photo of someone else from already anyways). Unless you're local? Let me know one way or the other, if you're interested in a photo. Velma, The Butler County Cemetery book lists in Oak Grove Cemetery RUSS, Nancy Brown 17 Dec 1814 - 2 Jul 1903. Thank you so much to everyone that replied. I have never seen the name Brown added to my ancestor's name. So, this gives me something else to research to be certain that it is her. However, everything else seems to fit. Again, thank you so much. She did have a daughter named Martha that was about 38 years younger than her based on the 1870 census. Yes indeed, Mary. This list is completely separate. I also do not control it in any way. The new list on the website form is ONLY so you receive an email when new material is added to that specific website. This list is not being changed at *all*. Alice, I'm a little confused. Will this "list" [KYBUTLER], continue to function as it does now? ..... as a place we can enter and respond to queries? Do I understand correctly that your instructions to signing up on < _http://genealogenie.net/kybutler_ (http://genealogenie.net/kybutler) > will only alert us to "new" information submitted to the Butler Co., Kentucky site, it is separated from the "mailing list"?
