    3. I have been very busy with real life and not had the time to properly finish working on projects I was attempting to put on the Butler County KYGenweb site. I am intending to get new items added over winter holidays, but I really have been trying to do more than I can really do as one person sometimes. One of the things I have done is photograph the entire first will book for Butler County. Those images are located here, unindexed. Somewhere I have an index to which picture has which names in it, but I don't have that on this computer. http://genealogenie.net/kybutler/2007/7-18/court1/ I hope this helps and the list of people in what image was circulated on this list more than a year ago, perhaps someone has that. I'm sorry for the amount of time it has taken me to get through the data I have collected and place it more usefully online. Being a full time graduate student has taken a lot more of my time than I expected it to, and I really haven't been able to keep up wiht the pace that I gathered the data for posting. 3. Dear Butler County Researchers, I need some assistance with getting a copy of a will and estate record of a Richard Dallam who died in 1820 in Butler County. I believe he also left two sons William Winston Dallam and John Josias Middlemore Dallam. There is some confusion between Richard's son's and another Dallam family in Harford County, Maryland that Richard is also kin to. I am also looking to see if William Winston and John Josias Middlemore Dallam had a will or estate filed in Butler County. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would gladly paid for the cost of copies and postage. Thank you all for your help. Sincerely, Chris Smithson

    2. Fabos-Becker
    3. Dear Group; Be advised: While the book might truly be useful, it is so only if you can read it without ending up at your doctor's office. The jpgs of the pages are all SIDEWAYS, and either need to be rotated at the source of availability, or have to be downloaded into a program where a reader can rotate the pages. It makes the book VERY hard to read without injury. Cecilia L. 3. Dear Butler County gen. researchers: I am a Cardwell descendant. I spend most of my research time in Union, Crittenden and Muhlenberg, but I recently came across a possibility that Golda Mae Cardwell may have been born in Morgantown/ Butler County in 1884. I have connected with a Cardwell descendant whose research lists a Goldie Mae Cardwell born in Butler in 1910. Coincidence, or was she named for my grandmother Golda Mae? I would appreciate a reply from anyone connected with any of my Cardwell ancestors listed here: James A. Cardwell b. 1819 Ky; m. Eleanor Alice Fitzsimmons 1855 Union County; d. 1870s Their children: Edmund T. b. 1856 likely in Union or Crittenden County Warner Taylor b. 18 Sep 1858 Crittenden County M. 3. http://www.skcensus.com/ Is one of many -- they're the only ones I know people that have dealt with them personally. I'm sure there are other good ones too. 3. Alice, your offer is wonderful; and I will appreciate your help. I am interested in marriage information for Ambrose HUNDLEY / HUNTLEY / HUNLEY and Sarah V. CATLIN, who probably married in Butler County. Their first child was born in 1844. Thank you, Leslie Kohler

    3. Hello Everyone... I will be going to the courthouse at Morgantown on the 26th if not sooner~ I'm not sure if I'll be up that direction during normal operating hours before the 26th. Was there a definitive list produced of which images in the set definitely need to be redone? Also, any SPECIFIC record requests while I'm there? (I do not currently have the time for research, but if you are looking for a very specific record, i might manage it -- ie not "any Jones marriages" because that's in the thousands, but if it's "xxx marriage to xxx in the year xxx" it may be possible.) Also, I'm still organizing and indexing tens of thousands of cemetery photos... but if there are any requests for cemetery photos, especially in the southern part of the county, let me know, and if I haven't already done so, I will check it out as weather permits (absolutely no guarantees that I can a) find the cemetery or b) weather will be good enough this time of year).
