    3. I went to the eBay site to see this book, which I was thinking was by Bill Thompson. It is the same little red book that I have in my library and is in most of the genealogy libraries that have books on Breckinridge Co., KY. My mother bought me the book as a gift when we went there to do some research in 1979 or 1980 - I think she paid about $8 for it, but that was over 25 years ago. I saw that $65 plus $3.75 for shipping and thought that is ridicules. The book is worth the $20 plus $1.50 shipping (brand new) that you can order through Sam McDowell's web site. The eBay seller should have checked to see if the book was still available from the author or publisher and then price the book accordingly. Even if this book was no longer available, $25 to $30 would be maximum value in my opinion, especially since it is available in libraries. Willard Library in Evansville has a copy. John G.
