    3. Hi all... With so many markers in the Garfield Cemetery, I've decided to put up the working pages and let you all know when the links have been connected. I've pretty much got page 1 finished (Alexander-Compton), but there are still just under two hundred I still have to index and resize. Knowing it's going to take quite a bit of time, I thought it best to put up what I have and then update the pages once the links are added. There are a few markers on pages 2 - 6 from an earlier uploading, but they will be filled up in the coming weeks. Also, for the Horsley and Bruner researchers, I talked with the former wife of the late Noah Webster "Rice" Bruner, Jr. a week ago. She confirmed that Margaret "Maggie" Horsley who married Noah Webster Bruner, Sr. (Noah Webster "Rice"Bruner, Jr.'s father) is buried next to Alfred Emmanuel Bruner at Garfield Cemetery. While Maggie is the first wife of Noah Webster Bruner, Sr., Alfred comes from Noah's second marriage (after Maggie's death) which was to Edith "Edie" Oliver. Hortense couldn't remember which side of Alfred that Maggie is buried, so I'll have to go back up while there in August and see who/what is on either side of him. She did say that Rice did take her to the grave site (as Alfred was his brother that was killed at age 7 by a car while running out to retrieve a ball in the street) and told her that Maggie was buried there. I've also talked with Mrs. Board, the secretary/treasure of the Hensley-Dowell Cemetery, and there is no early burial records. At times on the mailing list and message boards, I know people have asked about any knowledge of early burial records concerning various cemeteries, and I thought this bit of information might help anyone who might be looking for early records of Hensley-Dowell burials. Several generations of Mrs. Board's family are buried within the cemetery, and come from the Hensley area. As I get more info online, I'll let you all know!
